The Ministry Salon is a full-service hair salon located in the populated and highly competitive Studio City neighborhood of Los Angeles. Owned by Joy LaMay, The Ministry Salon has been providing exceptional hair care and styling services since 2017. 

The Challenge 

Because competition in the LA area is fierce, Joy needed a way to stand out from other salons and bring more customers through the door. It soon became clear that a digital presence was a must, but with such a saturated industry that requires specialized knowledge, she knew she needed professional help to boost her salon’s local SEO.

The Solution

Joy reached out to Main Street Marketing to craft a strategic local SEO campaign that would focus on polishing her Google Business Profile for her area, as well as optimizing her profile and website for keywords relevant to her salon’s services and staff. We saw an opportunity to invest in content marketing as well to attract an even larger audience.

Our team began by optimizing The Ministry Salon’s Google My Business listing, strategically refining the description, services, and service areas of the business. We also developed specialized content to appeal to potential customers in the area and boosted visibility via local search.

Results

Main Street Marketing achieved near-immediate results for The Ministry Salon. In no time, the salon was showing up in the Google Map Pack and had secured 1st page results for over 30 local keywords—a feat that helped increase conversions and business growth, even in a hyper-competitive market.

Check out the data from Google Search Console. In less than a year, we nearly doubled The Ministry’s organic search traffic.

Calls and requests for driving directions to the salon are also up by 31% and 37%, respectively.
